At Trekk, we believe in rolling up our sleeves and making a difference—not just in business, but in the communities we call home. As part of our commitment to service, our team recently spent the day volunteering at River Bend Nature Center in Faribault, an organization dedicated to conservation, education, and connecting people with nature.

For our Q1 community volunteer day, we joined forces with River Bend to tackle an invasive species—buckthorn. This fast-growing plant threatens native ecosystems by choking out biodiversity, and removing it is key to keeping the forest healthy. Armed with saws and a whole lot of determination, our team worked together to clear out large patches of buckthorn, helping restore the natural balance of the landscape.
In addition to clearing invasive species, we got hands-on with one of Minnesota’s sweetest traditions—collecting sap for maple syrup. Learning about the process firsthand was an incredible experience, and it gave us a deeper appreciation for the hard work that goes into sustainable land management.

At Trekk, community service isn’t just an initiative—it’s a core part of who we are. Our volunteer days give us the opportunity to step outside of our daily routines, work together in new ways, and contribute to causes that matter. River Bend Nature Center plays a crucial role in environmental conservation, education, and recreation, and we’re proud to support their mission..
A huge thank you to the team at River Bend Nature Center for hosting us and for their ongoing work to preserve and protect the land for future generations. If you’re interested in getting involved, check out their programs and volunteer opportunities at rbnc.org.
