a look back at 2024

While real estate management is at the heart of what we do, our passion for community runs even deeper. Every year we dedicate time and resources to serving our community in a variety of ways. It doesn’t matter if our participation gets noticed or if our name gets out there. We’re not here to “fix” our community, but to be an active participant in it.

Jenni Flobeck,Community Management Lead, says that “to me, community is about connection, belonging, and shared experience. It’s the feeling that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves, and that together, we can support, uplift, and learn from each other. A community provides a sense of safety and trust, where people can come as they are and know they’ll be accepted. Community means listening to others with empathy and valuing the diverse perspectives that each person brings. It is a reminder that we are stronger together, and that by supporting each other, we can create positive change in the world around us.”

Some of our employee’s highlights from the year include sorting donations and stocking shelves at the Faribault Food Shelf, planting a pollinator garden with residents of The Village on Cannon, making blankets for Operation Joy with the Community Action Center, and of course the holiday tradition of bell ringing in Northfield and Faribault with the Salvation Army.

It’s important at Trekk to not just be a business, but to be a neighbor. Christine Jensen, Residential Management Lead, says that “working for a company that prioritizes community means being part of something bigger than ourselves. It’s about fostering collaborative connections, supporting each other positively, and acting with intention to make a meaningful impact.”

As we move into 2025, we’re excited to continue finding ways to join in what’s happening in our community. Thank you to everyone—our clients, partners, and team members—who helped make 2024 such a meaningful year. Here’s to building stronger communities together in the year ahead!
